CHIIST MAHADUM
-An African Centered University-
Programs and Degrees
Our Academic Options
Online Education
In the age of technology, it's wonderful to be able to earn your degree without leaving your home. If you are looking for a broader range of classes and programs and you are self-motivated and self-disciplined, you may attend in the day, or night that you select to go into the classroom. This way it does not feel like you are leaving the house to go to work after completing a day's work. You need the freedom to learn when and where you want.
Degrees
The Chiist higher learning commission is staffed with Dibia (Ph. D holders), and heads of the
different colleges that make up the University areas.
The Degrees are called Omuma.
-
Omuma Nge for BA
-
Omuma Abuo for Masters
-
Omuma Dibia for Ph.D.
-
Asambodo for Certificates
These degree designations are relevant to the traditional designation for knowledge in the areas of interest and focus, at the respective levels. These degrees are two years because there are no requirements to investigate other unessential courses other than the specific coursework for the degree sought.
Certificates
A student may obtain a certificate of completion for taking a semester of a particular program. After three months, the student will obtain a certificate of completion. What this offers to students is a basic understanding of the course. It does not in any way give the student an Omuma (Degree).
Transfer Opportunity
When you apply to Chiist Mahadum, we will perform an official credit evaluation free of charge to aid you verify which credits are transferable. Then, our admission team will work with you throughout the transfer progression to help you succeed as a new student. All relevant credits may be applied to show a high school graduation and relevant credits. However, we are more focused on the credits from an African centered school that creates African centered academic credits. The same applies to graduate credits.
Career Training
There is career training provided for students who plan to become Chiist spiritual counselors or Nchuajas (Priests). These career opportunities are offered upon graduation as internships. The students may sign up for further training in these areas. Some aspects of this training will take place in Africa to expose the student to the culture of African spiritual practitioners.
Community Opportunities
Chiist Mahadum is not in at the business of finding jobs for its graduates. Unless specifically there are intentions to work at the university, students will be encouraged to set up their own
businesses as spiritual leaders, teachers or trainers depending on the academic focus.
